After more than 60 years of building on innovation in the tablet manufacturing industry at our location in Hoffman Estates, Thomas Processing has relocated to a new facility.
The new location, located at 200 Airport Road in Elgin, Illinois, will allow our Thomas team to continue building on a tradition of innovation.

Equipped with efficient collaborative working area, manufacturing work cells with improved ergonomics and new trial laboratories, our building matches our world-class equipment, making it a functional, beautiful place to continue designing and manufacturing cost-effective pharmaceutical machinery for tablet production.
Making an Unforgettable First Impression
With plenty of parking and 30-foot ceilings, our facility in Elgin gives potential customers a welcoming atmosphere to meet with our sales team.
The brand new testing facility includes 4 test bays; 1 continuous coating, 1 production size batch coating, 1 clinical/pilot and 1 laboratory/pilot scale. The test facility has a 10,000 CFM [17,000 m3/hr] air handling unit with electric heating and chilled water dehumidification. The new testing rooms are large and allow for easy access to all areas of the coater. All of the coating systems will run on our most advanced control system. The test facility are available to all current and potential customers. The continuous coating test room includes full material handling system to accurately simulate the real world functionality of the system.
Our existing customers also benefit from our new facility equipped with a customized, state-of-the-art Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) area where tablet manufacturers can comfortably observe their machinery in action. We’re also hosting virtual FATs at our new facility to accommodate precautions and safety for COVID-19.
Customers can also benefit from our extensive conveyor system for tablet coating equipment spare parts, reducing lead times for orders.
Thomas relocated to its Elgin facility on January 25, 2021, and will continue to serve customers worldwide.
