Thomas Processing’s Spray Systems for tablet coating equipment are fully integrated systems designed to offer accurate solution delivery rate, 5% gun-to-gun spray rate differential, and rapid disassembly and cleaning. Our spray systems keep your tablet production process moving forward. Featuring the patented Thomas Spray Bar® (TSB) that’s fitted with Schlick 930 or 970 anti-bearding spray guns, Thomas Spray Systems result in consistent performance. The Thomas Spray System with the Thomas Spray Bar ensures superior spray coverage, uniform coating, and repeatable results.
Adjustable Tablet Coating Spray Guns
The number of tablet coating spray guns can easily be adjusted by adding or removing spray bar sections. The modular design eliminates the need for multiple complete spray manifolds. The TSB is designed to eliminate unnecessary parts from the process airflow path, reducing turbulence and improving spray performance.
Compressed air lines inside the spray bar eliminate tablet entrapment areas and create a smooth profile. In the rare event of a clogged spray gun, the fluid nozzle can be removed and cleaned from the gun while the bar is primed and solution is in recirculation. Clearing a tablet coating spray gun clog takes less than 10 minutes. All Thomas tablet coating systems feature the TSB, including our Accela-Spray PRO. The solution delivery system is engineered to deliver a consistently better performance compared to conventional manifolds and result in easily validated, repeatable tablet spray coating processes.

The patented Thomas Spray Bar (TSB) is a fully integrated spraying solution manufactured to offer easy calibration, external gun positioning on FLEX models, and streamlined sanitation. Our spray bar design is equipped with Schlick ABC™ anti-bearding nozzles to prevent product buildup and provide ultimate coating versatility. We offer our state-of-the-art TSB as an Accela-Spray PRO upgrade for your existing coating machine. Thomas can also provide spray bar replacement parts to minimize downtime and maintain your coating efficiency.

Thomas Processing Spray Systems can be configured for independent pattern air control or combined atomizing and pattern air control. You can also retrofit a Thomas Spray Bar for combined or independent control of pattern air pressure and fan width.
